    I have paid this guy a sizeable amount, and now that I have won 5k, he not only is taking his sweet time, he is threatening he won't pay?

    Wow sounds like the a-hole that screwed me over. As soon as i lost for the week i would get a phone call. I always payed on time though. He took over $4000 from me. Then i hit for $4500 and i got stiffed.

    I have bet on sports for a hobby for 15 years. always did it online or in vegas in my 20 trips out there. I never understood why "bookies" was a sleezy business in terms of locals until I met a couple. they hand out credit freely to encourage one betting over their limit. If bookies operated as post up only it would be much more respectable.
