    Whats up fellas

Looking at making a trip down to Biloxi for some golf and gambling, but have never been. Anyone have any insight on hotels?

    Any general info is appreciated.

Only been once and stayed one night - but i have a group of friends that go all the time - they say the Beau Rivage is the only place to play and stay.

It was better before the hurricane. However its not that bad. Ocean Springs across the bridge is A Very nice town. Beau Rivage is what you want. No sports gambling though. Shell Landing was a great course last time i played it is across the bridge in Ocean Springs which is literally 10 minutes from Biloxi. I have heard good things About St Andrews in ocean springs but i have never played it. The city of Biloxi is kind of a dump, but like I said, just go across the bridge to Ocean Springs the downtown area is very nice with good places to eat. Dont expect Vegas standards in amenities. I have been there maybe a dozen or so times and it has been my experience that the people are SUPER friendly and dont have the grouchy attitude of the Vegas EMPLOYEES that look at their job as an inconvenience rather then a privilege. I go a couple times a year to Biloxi and I think a lot of it depends on your age and bankroll. Beau is probably the nicest but its a little older clientele. Night life is of course nothing like Vegas anywhere in Biloxi but at least at the Hard Rock and Imperial Palace have a younger crowd on weekends and a few decent spots to watch ballgames as well. Margaritaville is new and relatively cheap but they do not have a hotel and are kind of out there. The Palace is non-smoking in the entire thing so not sure if that's your thing or not. Not a huge fan of Treasure Bay as it kinda runs a little low rent in my opinion. Boomtown is just a gambling hole and its kinda low rent as well but for some reason the place always amuses me. Isle of Capri is something different now but cannot remember who bought it.

    Beau is the classy joint.
Hard Rock is nice for the scenery on the weekends if you know what I mean.
    IP is really nice too.
Isle of Capri is now the Golden Nugget.
Rest of the casinos are dumps.
Golf is excellent here. Shell Landing is nice but not even top 5 around here.

St. Andrews was a dump that closed years ago. Not sure who told you that place was nice.

Biloxi is nice. Right on the water. Plenty of fishing. Food here is excellent.

Source: Myself. Born and raised here.

When I was there I stayed at the Imperial Palace and it was OK but the Beau Rivage definitely looked to be a much, much nicer place.
