Numerous respected health organizations have all came to the same conclusion - that amalgam fillings are safe.
But hey, it's your mouth. Good luck with the new fillings - you will hate them. And something tells me that your symptoms aren't going to subside, either.
oh my god when i think about mercury in my fillings i get so scared i piss and shit myself. then i wonder about all my friends that aren't complete fudge-packers that gamble. then i remember what a great site this is, and root for the younguns that need the dough.
Why don't dentist push the fear and reap the benefits of changing out millions of fillings..Because it's not a big deal.
Its not a big deal if they are 100 percent safe .
Mercury fillings are best for the molars, if you have mercury fillings in other teeth - then they can be replaced.
But the dentist would have to remove more healthy tooth structure for the replacement, so it really depends on how you and your dentist feel. Some dentists will just take the cash - some will give you honest advice.
Go check it out at the dentist but its nothing to worry about and its very unlikely you are suffering from any form of mercury poising but get them replaced if its going to make you worry.
