    Authentic Philly Cheesesteak or NY Pizza?

    What makes it authentic.....it's a bun, crap meat, onions, cheese.

    Tried all the joints in Philly when I visit........very good, but nothing spectacular.

    I like the silver rv like joint on Broad Street near the stadium.

    I've lived 20 years in Downtown Chicago and the pizza here sucks...I've tried them all...Uno, Due, Giordano's, Eduardo's, Gino's East, My Pie, Home Run Inn, Nancy's, Carmen's, Malnatti's, Connie's, Supparossa

    The best chessesteak is in West Philly at Jim's steaks BUT you can only go there during day light....very "URBAN" section of philly
    and if you go to "Amish country" nothing is better than Shady Maple on rte 23

    Oh man I LOVE me some cheesesteaks and I love Philly too

    Best people in the US are from Cleveland, Philly, Buffalo, & Detroit

    Pretty much impossible to get a quality cheesesteak out here in the midwest

    Closest I've come, and this was WAY back, was the Hot Buttered Cheesesteak w/ mushrooms, side of waffle fries, from MR HERO...a Cleveland original

    Is it a yuppie hellhole? Lincoln Park I usually avoid at all costs

    Had a girlfriend used to live at 21xx N. Sedgewick and we used to go to Via Emilia (21xx) N. Clark all the time...

    Now Via Emilia is Riccardo Trattoria and I've heard nothing but the best

    New York pizza is delicious. I have never been to Philly so I cannot compare cheesesteaks to pizza.

    I have yet to find one single place with decent cheesesteaks in California. Not fukking one.

    We got great Mexican food though.

    Dad, check out "Phillys finest" They are all over CA( I know cuz I live in Hollywood) They have the closest to a authentic Philly cheesesteak your gonna get out here. Oh and I agree the Mexican food here is excellent. Gonna go get some Tamales for dinner tonight.

    Jims on south street, Steves in northeast, Pats & Geno's south philly all have excellent cheesesteaks... For Roast Beef/Roast Pork/chicken Cutlet's sandwich's got tony lukes and Nicks...

    Its all about the bread fellas...

    Impossible debate. New Haven, CT has the best pizza anywhere. NY is a close 2nd (similar style).
