Anyone ever been to the Bahamas for more than just a vacation? Any info?

How would it be living there?
Thinking about applying for a job.

Anyone ever stayed there for more than just a week or 2?

No taxes, that's a big plus.

Been to Aruba couple times, but never Bahamas.
I remember the actual villages of Aruba were pretty crappy and ghetto.
What are the sports book rules online from there? Anything goes? Or is it restricted like the actual US?
Do their casinos have books like Aruba?
Pretty sure you can't play poker online there yet.

Lived in Nassua about 15 years ago, was there for a job my company was on. JMO, but as far as living on any of the islands its the only city that ressembles a real city. The only casino I used was, well the only one there at the time I knew of, cant think of the name right now, but it was nice, right on the water. Its like living in any Bahamian enviroment, if your white they basically just want your money, and once out of the city they arent always friendly to whites. I never saw a sportsbook, but didnt have any problems using CRIS from there back then, dont have a clue about online poker. Its a pretty cool place to visit and party. Its alot more expensive now than back then also.

Crystal palace at cable beach is an ok casino. Also has sports book.

    Of course Atlantis is there.

Nassau only place you would want to be long term. IMO, Bahamas is one of the best vacation spots in the carribean. I would never want to stay long term though. Hurricanes, the fact that your not black or a celeb who can buy an island, and transportation around the city all a few reasons why

the weed there is almost brownish green. very seedy and smells like chemicals

i dont know if there is any good nugz on the island

the black people there come up and try to sell you stuff all day its annoying

i'd recommend one of the outer islands and become a fisher charter guide

Kinda figured it wasn't too promising to actually live there.
Probably going to visit just to check it out this fall.

just got back from atlantis on monday. i love the bahamas to vacation and party. as far as sportsbooks go you have crystal palace which is being redone with the bahamar resort will be done in 2014. atlantis sportsbook is good slow moving lines but small limits 500 on totals and 1000 on sides. not huge books by any means but they get the job done. as far as living there i have no clue great place to visit party and get some ass. atlantis is very expensive but if you play tables at a decent rate they will hook you up i was just there from tuesday to monday cost me 1000 my bill was 2500. i got my room free in the cove usually 400 a night so i will take the 1000 bill for 6 nights 7 days
