So what you're saying is Republicans are fat, old and like to sit in front of the tv a lot?

And the numbers seem to prove it.

If you want the real story.

Get's Hannity's and O'Reilly's demos. The average age is death. That is why Morgan's show on CNN gets the same ad rate as Hannity's does.

No matter what channel you like, I've never understood why someone would want some British asshole telling you about news in America. I mean, of all places, you want a guy from the U.K. telling you about life in America? No thanks to Piers Morgan @ CNN. Awful.

    This should bury Rifleman.

I will bottom line it for you.

Fox News' Audience-- the average age is 66. Less than 3% of adults 18-29 watch shows like Sean Hannity. 42% OF Hannity's audience is made up of REALLY FUKING OLD PEOPLE.

    Same for O'Reilly.

    OLD PEOPLE.

Who will be dead soon. Because that is what old people do. They watch Fox News, and then they die.

Fox News viewers are less informed than people who don't watch any news, according to a new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The poll surveyed people about the uprisings in Egypt and the Middle East, and where they get their news sources. The study, which controlled for demographic factors like education and partisanship, found that "people who watch Fox News are 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians overthrew their government" and "6-points less likely to know that Syrians have not yet overthrown their government" compared to those who watch no news.

Overall, 53% of all respondents knew that Egyptians successfully overthrew Hosni Mubarak and 48% knew that Syrians have yet to overthrow their government.

Dan Cassino, a political science professor at Fairleigh Dickinson, explained in a statement, "Because of the controls for partisanship, we know these results are not just driven by Republicans or other groups being more likely to watch Fox News. Rather, the results show us that there is something about watching Fox News that leads people to do worse on these questions than those who don’t watch any news at all."

This isn't the first study that has found that Fox News viewers more misinformed in comparison to others. Last year, a study from the University of Maryland found that Fox News viewers were more likely to believe false information about politics.

I wouldn't read anything the "Huffington Post" ever put out, and on top of that, you can quote obscure "Fairleigh Dickinson University" polls all you want and enjoy that while you watch the unbiased likes of Al race-baitor Sharpton and Rachel Maddow. I'd rather stab out my eyeballs w/ q-tips.

And to be clear, again, you're argument is to quote the "Huffington Post", that began literally as a SELF-PROCLAIMED, "liberal/left commentary outlet and alternative to news aggregators such as the Drudge Report", and "Fairleigh Dickinson University", who as Fox News pointed out has an undergrad institution that is ranked 585th out of 650 undergraduate Universities in the country...

And even if you took this rocket science study as legitimate, which is a fool's chore, MSNBC was ranked right there w/ Fox News, which had NPR ahead of both of them, and then had your boy Rush Limbaugh listed as more informative than NPR.

Well done sir. Even in the liberal biased study Rush Limbaugh beats NPR and MSNBC....now THAT is funny.

    Well done yourself.

I noticed you fixated on the FDU study, and rejected it based on the "ranking" of the school.

On the other hand, you decided to ignore a similar conclusion reached in another study conducted by the University of Maryland.

    Hmmmmmm.

Oh, and this time I've taken the Huff Post context away and given you the actual study.

    Have at it Hoss.

And while you are at it, please try to refute the study's conclusions by making mention of the University of Maryland's academic ranking...

I think you are proving the point pretty well actually....that is, academic elites and the media in this country (both very clearly very liberal) take advantage of the general low IQ of the American population as a whole. If you think that FDU or Maryland or just about ANY other university in this country isn't driven almost entirely by liberal agenda's, then you may as well just start walking around a "bahhhing" like a sheep.

At any rate, in regards to the study itself created by the liberal masses of the proud educational elite you so adamantly look up to, look at the questions and answers, if you even bothered to do that instead of just enjoying the head line they so greatly produced. Here is your link to burst your balloon on this magnificent study done by the brainiacs that stamp their impressions daily on the eager-to-learn collegiate captive audience youth of this country.
