On May 1, 2006, Hawkins, 36, was shot dead outside of 12127 Redfern Drive, Houston, TX. ^[5][6] He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police Hawkins had gone to the location to play Dominoes with a friend. He arrived before the friend and started to walk along the side of the house when an unknown suspect shot him multiple times. Police were unable to find any witnesses that could provide information on a suspect or a motive for the shooting ^[6] He died 8 years after his brother Fat Pat was murdered.
Shortly after his death, Bun B, a fellow Houston rap artist, spoke about Hawkins in an interview with the Houston Chronicle saying, "There were no kinks in this man's moral armor, because he was a rapper there will be people who will take his death the wrong way, but he was a peaceful guy and a family man who had no beefs with anybody."^[7]

I mentioned a little about this earlier in another thread...

I took Jacksonville +9.5 and again at +9. I also took the upset moneyline.

I felt the Jags had a shot since before the season began, mostly because of the defense, and now here they are, with a shot.

The bullshit about Brady's hand will result in one of two things...the "amazing" Brady fights through injury and wins again and everyone cheers because the "called it" or it's used as a bullshit excuse for the NE loss.

If I were a gambling man, I'd be willing to bet that Tom Brady never actually hurt his hand, based on similar situations with high profile, high volume, games and my knowledge of the industry and some figures within it.

I'll take Jacksonville and when they take the lead, I may look for a little sell back with live play. Because of the teams, however, we may not see a palatable number for NE.
