    There's a great bit in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" about how we now are expected to tip in addition to the automatic gratuity.



    This is of course how this ends, waiters and waitresses expecting the required + some for good service.

    Yes,,, but again...servers don't get that. They make money off tips. I tip 20%... 10% on bad serves.

    A Server's wage basically covers the taxes that they make on their tips. When a sever gets their paycheck, it is usually only a few dollars or even Zero.

    Waitress knows, she's not supposed to talk her tips in public- its a policy w/ all of the corporate restaurants.

    However, a phuckin Pastor (we're not talking about some redneck who drank the Jesus cool-aid on a simple Sunday),
    doesn't leave a tip.
    The church survives off of this gratuity.

    Pastors are supposedly guys who have to do a little reading, a little education in their backgrounds.
    Pastors are not supposed to be guys who stiff their waitresses.

    good times. i remember once in my waiter days a gruop of 8 "canadians" came in. i tacked on the auto-grat of only 15% at our place and this woman complained that since 2 of them shared a plate it didn't meet the 8 person min to auto-grat.
