    Question about flight price experience...drastic price drop for one night only...

    I have been looking at a particular flight to Vegas for over about 2 weeks now and it was pretty much always 335 to 345...

    All of a sudden, I look at it this past Monday night and it was 199.60...

    Needless to say I booked it immediately...

    Now I keep checking it because I'm interested to see if it goes up or back down again and every time I check it the price is back to what I was originally seeing, 335-345...


    Has anyone ever seen such a DRASTIC price drop before ? I have never seen a flight drop 40% (approx) out of nowhere for one night only then go back to normal...

    What is the deal with this, my mind is blown! Why did the price drop like that? Is this an airline tactic to fill the plane or what?
