It should be paid touts. Touts are handicappers who sell their picks for cold hard cash...or ****, **********, AMX but I wouldn't try Discover. Anyway, they are frowned upon by the masses as scam artists yet many of the same posters who decry them also pay them...surrpetitiously.

There are many scam artists, though artist is probably not an appropriate term as most of them have very little creativity, nuance or flair. If you want a legitimate tout, sports advisor, consultant or professional handicapper to assist you with your wages I suggest you use one who keeps an accurate, honest record and doesn't cloud the issue by posting only his best record which might be his 10 star plays even though his 5 star and 20 star have gone bankrupt.

The way I see it is that there are some good guys with honest records. But none of them make money in every sport in every season. I like the guys who use a 1 to 5 unit system (which is what I do when writing for SBR) which means let's say your average bet is $100. A one unit play would be $100 whereas a 5 unit max play would be a nickel. Some differ and say all plays should be the same amount but I won't debate this here.

The bottom line is find a pool of paid touts that keep accurate and consistent records and then choose the one you like best based on price and historical record. Now there will be many who will tell you to pick your own games and save your money which is fair enough but I do know some who have used them with great success. The problem is, when they go bad and you're paying, it increases your level of anxiety and pretty soon you forget all the wins and focus only on the losses.

    Well said Johnson.
So, can I put you on the spot and ask:
"Who do you think the top 5 legit touts are here at SBR?"
    Also:
"Who would you consider to be the two worst touts?"

Well Jay (cool name, cool avatar BTW), I honestly couldn't tell you. For instance, I don't charge for my picks here at SBR and I know that nobody is allowed to charge, at least not using SBR as a conduit. I will say one of the most intelligent mathematical guys is John Ryan. He uses a proprietary algorithm program that has had historically tremendous results but his MLB season this past season was nothing short of disastrous. Maybe the model needs to be tweaked or maybe it was a one season abberation.

I wish I could answer you with more clarity but as far as paid touts are concerned I have heard good things about RAS (Right Angle Sports) and ATS. Indian Cowboy seems to be a knowledgable guy but I'm a bit leery regarding his penchant for underdogs as I lean towards the chalk. It's a good topic. Maybe someone can chime in and give their opinions. My wildcard weekend picks are here http://www.sportsbookreview.com/nfl-football...ingin-a-28898/

Hye before this thread plummets to the bottom of the SBR ocean, I should say that Peter Loshak is excellent as is Yisman.

    I have tailed Yisman.
    He sounds Canadian to me.
I have tailed Frisco with some success too.
LT Profits is also a member I havent found myself doubting the day after as well.
I faded this guy named convict and faded chinoloco212 with great success, probably 100% if I remember correctly.
There was this member named Dom177 (Ithink) and Houlihans TX who were solid bettors but I don't know if they are here anymore.

Yes Jay, I'm glad you brought up LT Profits. He's a war horse around here and is universally respected unless it's some kid who tailed him one night, lost and then chirps about it.

Yesterday was good for me http://www.sportsbookreview.com/nfl-football...ingin-a-28898/ I hope you cashed as well.
