Has anyone ever been to Milwaukee?

Is there anything you can do in Milwaukee?
How is this place and how's the weather there now?

Yes, I've been to Milwaukee. I was there on business 2-3 years ago.

You won't like the weather there right now, there's probably two feet of snow on the ground and temps not higher than 20 during the day.

When I was there, it was summer so I took in a Brewers game. Also got to check out the Harley-Davidson museum, which was really cool. Took a drive thru Marquette University too just to say I've been there and to see the campus.

I don't know for sure. Google says it's 1,000 miles from Dallas to Milwaukee, so probably a 14-15 hour drive?

    yes i've been to milwaukee

sucks during the winter, with the windchill the temperature is about 0 as i type.

summer is fun with festivals, lakefront, etc but it's not a good city to live in for fun stuff/gambling, the dog tracks are gone and there's only 1 casino.

nope, we had 5 tracks in the state of wisconsin but they're all closed now.

right outside milwaukee in kenosha was the last one to close, dairyland, closed on dec 31, 2009.

closest dog races are dubuque, iowa - about 3 hours away. chicago area is close - only an hour or so to arlington

I would rather visit Madison than Milwaukee. There is nothing to do in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee is a very underrated city. Worth living in if you can. Madison is a quintessential college town. Great for the 18-35 year old and/or hippie. But Madison and Milwaukee are both beautiful in the summer.

Yes, and all in the milwaukee area, forgot about that vs madison. Summerfest, state fair also. Not sure why anyone would want to live in wisconsin, but if you do milwaukee area is the only real choice for sports fans, gamblers, etc

David Kohler is a longtime good friend of mine. Kohler was my first job out of college. Awesome company.

Played at all those courses. Herb is a fanatical golfer.

Milwaukee? Lmao @ u for even asking about this place. It is a ghost town all day but absolutely forget about seeing anybody out past 7pm in the downtown area. I went to walgreens thinking they would be open since every other place in the city was closed at 7pm and i was wrong...closed as well. Check out Mo's irish pub if u get a chance, in my opinion they have really good food and a decent place for a drink. Good luck finding anything fun to do in this deserted city. (drive 80 miles to chicago and enjoy civilization)

Live about 15 minutes from downtown. As mentioned, pretty boring. Depends on what your coming for I suppose. Some good restaurants and places to visit, but not the best. You can catch a Bucks game for about $10 though, theres something at least.
