I live here. It's a nice city but expensive to live in downtown Toronto. pinnacle is the best, so that should be reason enough to move.

If you're going to move to Canada, then Montreal is the place to be, ahead of Vancouver and Toronto. And I've lived in all three cities.

Many Americans seem to be concerned that it's a French-speaking city, but mostly everyone in the province of Quebec is bilingual.

Do you want to live in an over-populated place with wicked traffic congestion? Then Toronto is for you. I imagine China can be compared to it, people scurrying around like rats.

I think you missed the point of the thread..he wants to leave the US. But, he is only 20 and he is talking 4 or 5 years down the road..when you are 20 your plans change so often..in the next 4 years he will probably get a girl and be so pussy whipped he wouldn't even consider going to Canada for vacation much less to live there.

I live in Edmonton - but would live in Vancouver in a heart beat pretty much. Toronto is worth it's weight in a hockey team that hasn't done anything since the first world war.

In Canada you can gamble online and government does not spy on you.

You can also travel freely any where you want.

yeah, but Canada copies its laws and regulations from the US

maybe in 3-5 years it will have the same regulations regarding gambling and then you have to move again

also if you live in Canada and you are still a US citizen you still have to pay some tax to IRS, file a tax return and report everything

Toronto is nice but i dont like the eastern time zone

i wish there was a nice english speaking carribean country, i have to try visit some of them, warm weather, i want to get the fuk out of US too

    Go now.
In 4-5 years you may finally start getting your life together and may not be able to move.
Move now while you have nothing going for you. You'll kick yourself later if you want to move, but can't due to surrounding circumstances.

I live half way between toronto and detroit. I get the best of both worlds. Im close enough to the US, that I can shop, travel, and watch sports in the USA, but get the benefits of living in Canada.

Moving outside of Toronto would probably be the better idea, cause unless your raking in the cash, Toronto is a decently expensive place to be living as others have suggested. There are nice and affordable areas within a 30-45 minute radius of Toronto, and commuting to and from isn't all that bad

It depends. I lived in an area where tons of immergrants settled. They were all Cambodian or Vietnamese. Think it was easy for them to become citizens, but i think i'd be a lot tougher for an american or european.

Toronto and Montreal can't compare to Vancouver, not even close.

Vancouver has been voted the #1 city in the world (most livable city) several times now over the past 5 years.

It is more expensive than Toronto but there's a reason why. Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has everything that Toronto + Montreal has and you get the breathtaking natural beauty that the other two lacks. You've got everything.....culture, nightlife, best outdoor activities, #1 in the world for snowboarding/skiing/kayuking......you name it.

I was bored with Toronto after 5 days. In Vancouver, I never wanted to leave.
