Are we at the point where teachers need to be armed?

I know two wrongs don't make a right...but what other options are there?

I know it sounds good, but this would A) never happen and B) be a god awful idea.
When I have kids, I personally would not feel comfortable that there is a weapon IN the classroom at every moment, teachers have breakdowns too. If it ever gets to the point that this gets implemented, I will be finding a new place to live.

Fixing the problems before they start is the only thing that will come close to working.

That would include a 'normal' family upbringing. Mother, father, siblings or two. Father works, mother nurtures. Rebuild the family unit.

That would in turn help 'breed' a new generation, one that got back to good family values and they way things used to be when the world was semi normal.

You cant fix people that are already broken, at least not with any means being employed today. Only way to not break them is having them raised by people who themselves wee raised 'right'. Which is a very small percentage right now, and getting smaller.

There's a reason the medical and scientific community have advanced as far as they have: Because they left antiquated ideas back in 1952 where they belong and continued to do research instead. Thinking that a mom, dad, and a brother and sister are going to prevent someone from becoming mentally unwell is about as naive and ignorant as one can get. Almost as bad as thinking you can 'train' or 'will' your child not to be gay if you just raise them properly. People struggle to teach a puppy to shit where it needs to or even funnier go to a puppy school because they need help yet they think they can mess with biochemicals in the human brain. that argument cuts both ways, if it were as 'simple' as some chemical imbalance it would happen a lot more often than it does. The whole chemical imbalance IMO is a crock. If something is 'uncontrollable' then by definition it cant be controlled and anyone with any 'condition' would be a complete loose cannon. Since these things dont happen everyday there is has to be some level of control.

everyone is born knowing the difference between right and wrong. Thats the irony of this whole thing, he killed kids I havent watched it all day like some people but I am sure the word "innocent' has been used to describe the victims a bazillion times. Which is true children are innocent until they arent anymore. If that is caused by some medical or mental condition then it should be simple to figure out. I dont buy the whole spontaneous manifestation of shit that causes people to 'snap' and do things like what happened this morning. It was either there and no one did anything about it, or there was nothing there but the actions were so horrible there had to be some reason put to it as to why it happened.
