I'm brining a 15lb bird overnight and throwing it in the air fryer tomorrow. Should take less than 3 hours.

    Depends how you cook it.

I've had people cook Thanksgiving turkeys that tasted absolutely dry. I've had deep fried turkey that kept me coming back for more.

My favorite however was when I went to a family's friend's house one year which was a couple that loved to cook. The husband was a butcher and deboned the turkey to make it look like a roast and used the remaining carcass as a stock for gravy. Wife stuffed the center and injected seasoning in it. Didn't look like a stereotypical Thanksgiving turkey, but it tasted fantastic.

Here's a Youtube so you have an idea of what I'm talking about.

Turned out well. Brined it 9 hours. Injected it after the brine. Took under 2.5 hours to fully cook it.

I got a Masterbuilt air fryer with a smoking compartmemt. I actually got it based on a recommendation on SBR last year. I think from TheMoneyShot but may have been someone else.

I've only used it for birds so far but well worth the 90 bucks. I didn't actually put any wood chips in the smoking box for the turkey, but it's a nice feature. Not sure why they call it an air fryer as I feel that's a bit deceptive. It gets results though. Not sure of the max bird size but had room to spare. I'm sure it couldv'e accommadated 20lb or so.

Aren't you from the south??? Smoke that bird! Add bbq sauce!

Although speaking as one of the few women around here, if you want to bake it, rub the turkey down in some nice EVOO the night and let it marinate in the frig. Bake it and baste with a mixture of garlic salt, melted butter, and lemon juice. You can poke some holes in a couple of lemons and poke them up in the turkey before baking, which also helps with moisture and flavor.

but it's easier to smoke it and use bbq and white sauce.

My brother smoking the turkey all night and bringing over. We in charge of sides. Gonna do a crawfish Mac and cheese, home made stuffing, stuffed acorn squash, and I suppose mash potatoes and some kind of sweet potato! Fixing to head to farmers market and the store!! If I can find some oysters at the seafood guy might do something of that nature as well!!
