Third party will solve the electoral college issue. They will take away votes from each party making close races swing to one or other side. If Musk becomes the leader of America party he can easily draw 20% of voters from each party and with his wealth can elect his candidates with bankrolls to face the candidate of each party.

The reason we need a third party is there needs to be a place for the independents like myself to have a home. Because every election is the same story. I like 2 things that each party is proposing and 2 that I don't like. But you are forced to vote the lesser of two evils every time. But let's say the House has a third party and their votes can swing the balance to one or the other side then it will force the 2 big parties to negotiate and come up with better legislation that benefits the country. Right now the margin to pass a bill is like 4-5 votes but if the 3rd party elects some people then each party will have to draw from their ranks votes to pass bills and they will all negotiate better for the benefit of all.
