This country was colonized by European immigrants that also forced immigration through slavery and conquests. Especially today, immigrants have proven a vital source of our success in agriculture, technology, industrial, economic growth. This country was built on the backs of immigrants (of which you, or your daddy or granddaddy were/are). The total lack of history and hypocrisy to say that you are legal, totally ignores reality most likely out of racial fear. Whenever you guys talk about illegals, you really mean border hoppers. Now, if you actually read the constitution you would know that legally, you cannot call anyone residing in this country that we stole from American Indians - ILLEGAL. That is simply not true.

Illegal denotes criminality. Being in this country without proper documentation IS NOT A CRIMINAL OFFENSE. Did you know that?

It is legally inaccurate to label anyone illegal because in a court of law, you cannot find a person guilty BEFORE a verdict has been rendered. It is imprecise because you are claiming that person's guilt as final, when their immigration status is fluid, depending on each persons individual circumstances that could change any day.

Now let's get to the economic reality. Every year we HAVE to bring in specialized talent into this country. These are people that have specialized knowledge that is critical to Americas national security and economic advantage. Typically this number is around half a million people a year. Well how many new jobs do you think will be created in 2024? Last year in 2023 there were 3 million new jobs created in this country. How do those jobs get filled? It MUST be filled by immigrants. US Citizens already have jobs. Every month hundreds of thousands of new jobs are created and most don't get filled. This gap in workers will eventually kill a country if not addressed. ALL CIVILIZED advanced countries have pathways to citizenship. It is vital for the economy. To think we should close our border and not hire anyone from outside is foolish. Every sitting president knows this. Even Trump, who approved over 1.2 million specialized talent into this country in less than 2 years in 2018-2019.

So there's still a gap of millions of people. That's where undocumented workers come into play. You have to have them also. Not just a handful either. You need millions of them. Do the math. It's like the Olympics. Why do you think the US always wins the most medals? It's because we have the most diverse country on the planet. We import talent every year. We never used to win distance races, well we've recruited and landed a lot of great runners from other countries. If you can't beat them, you better recruit them.

Now do you also want me to give you the moral argument on why you should not call anyone ILLEGAL?

You don't seem to understand the difference between legal and illegal immigrants.

I am an immigrant. A legal immigrant. My parents legally immigrated to Canada from Europe. We did it the right way. 1.2 million people legally immigrate to the US every year. More than any other country by far. Everywhere I have lived, I have done it the right way based on the laws of the country I wished to live in. I am in the process of moving to SE Asia and they also have laws, just as America does. The difference is, America does not enforce their immigration laws.

It is not the responsibility of the US to let in people from other countries just because their country sucks. They need to apply legally and in the meantime, they need to fix their own country. Ya it sucks for those people. I feel for them. Most are very nice hard working people but a government's responsibility is to look after their own citizens first. Allow tens of millions of people into the country is criminal. These people are breaking the laws of your country. WTF are you taking about when you say hate? Hate has nothing to do with it. The government's responsibility is to the actual citizens of their country they represent. They are civil servants. That includes the president. Empathy has nothing to do with laws. Most people have tons of empathy for those fleeing their country to come to America or anywhere else for that matter. How many illegal immigrants have you taken in to one of your several homes you own? I am sure there's room.

The government needs to make it possible for young Americans to be able to prosper. To be able to afford a home. To not have overcrowded schools.

I already mentioned the island a few times. Why would I be embarrassed to live on a tropical gorgeous Caribbean island surrounded by crystal clear blue water? Why do you think this?

I haven't made up my mind as to which country in SE Asia as of yet. Its probably going to be Thailand. I have been there before and absolutely loved it. Cost of living there is 75-85% less than it is in the US or Canada or where I currently reside. Plus the food is amazing.

I am not running from anything lol. I can go and work from basically anywhere so long as there is internet. I love traveling and getting a little island fever. Time for a new adventure I think.

If me and half the neighborhood I grew up in (males btw 18-30 of course) just up and settled en masse in Australia or Brazil or Turkey on our terms, not the host country's ...
