I believe the way his scheme worked during offshore years was to get "paid" in freeplays from Sportsbook managers. His job was to promote the side the books wanted (but he bet the freeplay on the other side) so he can cash.

Once I figured out his scheme I kept betting the opposite of his play and made a lot of cash. This is why he was always salty with me. He knew I figured him out.
