    Media loves catastrophic events.

    Katrina appears 10x worse maybe because it hit the ghetto and many too broke or inept and taking care of themselves. This does not seem like "The Perfect Storm". It's all about ratings.

    That being said, stay safe and fight the good fight. I'll be out there next week to assess the damage to my family's place.

    It'd be the same if a Cane hit the West Coast. Neither coast is prepped for this sort of thing and they don't build downtown buildings in NYC thinking about 85 mph winds. So of course it's going to be treated like a monumental event because a storm that might not fukk up the South as bad is going to crush parts of the Northeast that aren't ready. Rain is really the bugaboo from this storm and/or snow. If this had hit the Gulf Coast, it would have just been another weaker Hurricane with a shit ton of rain.

    i live right on the coast of MA with an ocean view from my house and it was just some heavy gusts of wind and rain. The news ppl seriously talked this one up like it was going to be the nxt katrina or something. Now its over and prob the media will go on tomorrow like nothing happened or claim their warnings saved the lives of x amount of ppl LOL
