Metro police Thursday busted a marijuana grow house in the northwest part of the valley.
Police said it started at 9:20 a.m. when patrol officers responded to a call from a house in the 9000 block of Mossy Hollow Avenue, near Durango Drive and U.S. 95.

The homeowner claimed there were two people hiding in an upstairs bedroom. When police investigated they did not find anyone hiding in the house. They did, however, find an indoor marijuana grow operation.
Police seized 109 mature marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $381,000, numerous pieces of grow house equipment, nearly $1,100 in cash and hash oil.
The homeowner, Jared Devin Ries, 32, was arrested and faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Ries was previously arrested for marijuana possession in 2009.
