Its prevalence has tripled in many countries of the WHO European Region since the 1980s, and the numbers of those affected continue to rise at an alarming rate, particularly among children. In addition to causing various physical disabilities and psychological problems, excess weight drastically increases a person’s risk of developing a number of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes. The risk of developing more than one of these diseases (co-morbidity) also increases with increasing body weight. Obesity is already responsible for 2–8% of health costs and 10–13% of deaths in different parts of the Region.

    Exactly! I don't care if the majority is fat, that still doesn't make it okay. She can make all the excuses she wants, but she can't avoid the fact that she's fat because she is lazy, and she shouldn't be in the public eye. It's not okay to be fat, period. Eat more of the right foods, less of the bad ones, and move your lazy fat ass around, and wow, you lose weight.
