    Backcountry camping

Well only made into the backcountry once this year. Great trip though. 4 nights in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Woke up face to face with a skunk one night. Trip highlight.

How are the crowds up there?

I once went on a backwoods camping trip on the John Muir Trail...so many people it made me want to leave.

I didn't see many people at all.

There was some tough going, climbing over boulders and such. Not too many people venture that far, and the crowds usually stay near the campsites close to the trailheads.

I always enter on like a Wednesday or Thursday, and leave on Monday or Tuesday when I go on trips. I completely avoid the weekend crowds because I am in the backcountry by then. Works out nicely this way.
