Over what kind of time period? Are you familiar with "Greasing the Groove"? I started doing it about a month ago with Chins, Dips, and Push-ups. I'm getting pretty good results so far.

Actually beneficial for nervous system development long term. Some of the TOP guys believe in MEGA VOLUME phases especially early on to build up capacity. I could write pages on this.

Once a weeks for about 3 to 5 weeks could be powerful.

So to answer your question, TT, yes, 100 chin ups is overtraining. That'd be 100X13 = 1,300 chins above the bar for you. God would be exhausted after that.

TT, you don't know shit about training.

I wouldn't do 100 sets of anything.. But who knows if it would be overtraining for a specific individual.

Just because someone is a good lifter doesn't mean they know what they're doing. There is a reason why we don't follow

TT, there are programs that rehabilitate the mentally challenged into mainstream society so they can provide some level of production and usefulness. Have you possibly, by chance, read about some of these programs in your breaks between reading a McDonald's menu?

It is not overtraining if done on different days. No one would do 100 sets of pullups in one session.

100 sets is way too many pull ups for one workout. 100-200 reps if you're in good shape, but 100 sets of anything would take you all day.

7+ sets on the same body part is bordering the over training mark, unless a person is on steroids of course. after the 7th set you should have that muscle fatigued enough to change to a new muscle group. It depends on the weight you're using, but anything over 10 sets on the same muscle is over training.

For me, it's overtraining because I work different angle.. Middle back, upper lats, lower lats,etc..

But I won't say it's overtraining for everyone..

Everything matters on the calories/carbs you're taking.
