Chevy hands down....I have an 06 Silverado I bought brand new....Had it loaded down for like 5 years...I drive hard and aggressive...Used to drive 100mph everyday on the local interstate...

I'm at about 140k miles now...Truck still has original plugs and wires and runs like a top....Full power to blow by those idiots who hold up traffic....

Only thing I have had to fix is an inner tie rod on the passenger side.

    thread/.

EDIT: I have the z-71 model...I hear it has beefier suspension parts, etc. than the regular 1500....So that may make a difference also.

I would not buy a Dodge. Prefer Chev/Ford.

Ford's F-series... whichever model you prefer is the ticket.

    Gas - Ford, then Chevy.
Diesel - Ford / Dodge... pretty close (comes down to look / feel at that point).

150, 250, 350, 450... take your pick. Best on the road, year, after year, after year. Go look it up. And, if you go 250 or higher and go diesel it is so money you'll not be able to stand it. Chevy can't make a diesel worth a shit.

I don't mean to make this sound like I'm being an ass... because I'm not trying to be....

Did you just climb out from under a rock??? Hell yes, it is bad ass - depending on how much you want to spend... look at the diesel option... and/or look at the King Ranch version. Beyond bad ass.

If you want a truck that can haul shit and carry shit don't buy a toyota. Chevy 2500HD is a great truck. More payload than everyone else. But that's what I needed it for. If your only going to go to home depot and get potting soil a jap truck could do.

Rednecks like trucks they can abuse and are easiest fix when they break, which is Chevy.
