You are also thinking like a poor person if you scoff at $300 in free money... You don't seem to realize that these bank offers in Canada come around every season; you can complete ones at several different banks annually and make a few thousand easy dollars. Most banks do allow people to repeat lump-sum bonus offers after a waiting period of 1-5 years, and clients are always eligible to repeat interest rate bonuses.
I have nearly a dozen bank accounts and self-directed brokerage accounts myself, and will transfer money to whoever has the best rate/offer at the moment. It'd be foolish not to.
Why don't you start a thread at RFD asking how many folks move their money around to chase the best rates/offers? I think you'd be surprised to find just how many people on the forum do exactly that.Comment -
