What's the next big purchase you're currently researching?

And what's your budget for said purchase?

I'd like to buy a TV... I actually was going to start a thread on this subject, but what is the best TV I can get? Shooting for around 55 inches because my living room isn't really big enough to fit much bigger, would be too close to it and get a head ache.

If not interested in plasma technology and you have no budget:

    http://elitelcdtv.com/

Sharp now owns the 'Elite' brand but has implemented their technology with LED. Previously, Elite was owned by Pioneer and they branded their sets as 'Kuro Elite', but those were Plasma sets (still top of the line).

Biggest mistake most TV consumers make is buying a set that is too small. If the set is for a living room, you can easily make do with a 60" or larger. Keep in mind that you should be sitting no further back than 8 to 12 feet (max) from your tv in order to truly enjoy the effects of a 1080p picture. gl

    Car and a TV.

15-18K for the car. Paying cash, no financing.

Upwards of 4K for the TV. Would need a 55" or 60" LED. I currently have a 46" Sony Bravia, and would probably stick with Sony. Possibly a Samsung or Sharp. Throw me some ideas, and maybe change my mind about brand.

Really no rush for either. Just something I may buy with in the next year or so.

Been looking into summer camps to send our daughter starting next year.

At some of the most prestigous ones, we actually have to go to an "interview" this fall. They want to meet all of us before you're even allowed to apply. Unreal.

Ridiculously expensive, but they are awesome. Unbelievable facilities & activities for kids. The best ones are basically prep schools for some great colleges.
