People at the 4 star hotels are more humble. I'd rather stay at Mandalay, Mirage, Treasure Island, Palms, etc. any day over the 5 star hotels in Vegas except maybe the Venetian/Palazzo.

I can vouch for Bronxer. Not only does he stay in the top hotels, but he always gets primo room/suite.

I usually stay at the Golden Nugget. Only because we get everything free there everytime we go.

But....my wife has told me she's had just about enough of that place. Looks like we'll be changing venues soon.

Don't waste your time or money with Losestar or Sucktaw

Better off making the 3.5 hour drive to Shreveport where the casinos are actually regulated and you don't have to pay antes on the table games

I bet the return on the slots at Losetar/Sucktaw are even worse than McCarran Airport

the best i can do in vegas is trudie at the wynn gives me a sports book rate which is good at wynn or encore and its just a slight discount

I used to go up to Losestar about once a month to play blackjack, that was before I learned just how much the $.50 antes add to the house edge. I emailed Michael Shackleford about it and he said I shouldn't play anything there, especially blackjack, on principle alone.

I'll give you a run down where I've stayed.

Bellagio very nice rooms buffet steak house very expensive if not comped. Sports book very nice but always packed. As far as other players bunch of rich people that are not friendly. Drinks come every min as long as you are playing in high limits.

MGM nice rooms buffet to small dining expensive here too. Very likely to see celebrity's here and gamble along side of them. Drinks come every 2 mins no matter what limits. Mostly nice people around you and lots of hot women.

Excalibur horrablie rooms dining not that great but lots of fast food if budget is tight. Drinks come around every 15 mins. Shity high limit area. Mostly low income people but heard its worse other places. Would never stay there again. Never saw the sports book hated the place.

Rio just renovated big rooms not a bad place. Food pretty good for the price also has fast food if money is tight. Drinks come every 5-10 mins. High limit room is okay. Very friendly people to gamble beside very big sports book usually open spots.

Hope this helps a little never stayed at to many places. I always stay where its free. Dining will kill the pocket book if you have to pay for food. There's a lot of good value places to eat just grab some brochures at the airport. Good luck
