    It is now perfectly reasonable to postulate that Joe Paterno protected Jerry Sandusky, who had been a Penn State assistant coach from 1969 until retiring in 1999. Sandusky went right along with his business of showering with boys in the locker room, of bringing kids to the sidelines during games, of sitting in the press/luxury box area of home games. Sandusky used the program's allure like a lollipop to draw kids into his van.

    Sidenote: Who the hell would ever go to Penn St anymore?? My sister's boyfriend's brother will be a freshman this fall at PSU.....My only question is WHY????     The shit they are going to dig up on Paterno is going to be awesome. This time next year, that silly statue of Paterno will be hauled off and put in a f'in barn somewhere.

    Oh, and the best part. There isn't any statue of limitations on the victims going after Paterno's estate. By the time this ends, his wife will be broke.

    There isn't a reasonable human being alive who thinks Paterno is innocent here. I am just bummed out that he died before he could be charged up too.

    As I've stated on this board previously, I've always been a Penn State football fan.

    I've never let a fan loyalty die in my life. Will be a Cubs fan until I die. That being said, I've officially denounced my PSU fandom.

    A huge reason I supported Penn State at first was the honor, class, and tradition of the program, instilled by Joe Paterno. I loved hearing stories about Joe Paterno. He stopped guys for speeding on campus or running a stop sign. He would lecture them about it. Heard another story that he sent some young (OF AGE) girls up to his player's rooms because they were stressed or injured or whatever.

    But this is the last straw. I'm no longer a PSU football fan. I can not longer be associated with a program built by that guy.
