    F these touts

First, let me premise this by saying that I do not intend to come off in this message as conceded or arrogant or anything like that, just spittin facts here.

With that being said here's my message:

I along with most of the ppl on this site have fell victim to various touts, so many it would literally take 30mins to type them all out. But why? Why do we keep following these guys day in and day out, especially in baseball, in which this message is intended and directed towards. Baseball provides so much value that other sports just can't offer. And you only have to choose the side that wins instead of taking in all the point spreads in other sports.

There are literally tons of FREE winning guys out there in the pregame, sbr, Rx, twitter, etc. And a lot of us have more ability to pick winners then we give ourselves credit for. I always made my own picks on the side and either kept records for fun or bet a minuscule amount on them compared to the amounts of $ I put on touts picks.

My personal bases picks are up 30+ units this year, betting only 1 unit per game and an occassional 2 units (all documented on pregame forum). And I guarantee that many of you reading this have the ability to pick ur own winners as well. And even if u don't, would u rather lose making ur own choices or following someone else's?

Finally, although my personal bets are up over 30 units that doesn't mean my actual bank roll is. Why? Because I also bet on these other F'in picks from these damn touts. So instead of my bankroll being up over 30 units I'm up only around half of that. Well, F that. I'm going with my own picks from here on out. F these touts and I suggest you give it a try too. I'm sure u'll be pleasantly surprised. Sorry for the rant and Bol to all.

Thx J. Is Paco on sbr? Btw, if u could post bison that'd be great. Would like to track their picks. How long u been with them and how'd they do for u? Pm me with details if u get a chance. Not all touts are garbage. Just gotta track as many as u can and weed out the losers.

Why would anyone of sound mind ever pay someone else for their opinions? If they knew what they were doing, they wouldn't need to hustle people.

Yea, those like Hondo, Lang, Ben Lee, Quinn etc are not the guys I'm referring too. In fact, those are the only guys really worth following (or fading in this instance) since they have a proven record of well, losing long term. IMO

I agree with what oZ is saying...A majority of handicappers or touts are just that..."paid opinion givers", there are very few of them out there that actually do the work to actually "handicap" a game anymore. Most picks are just based on personal opinions or situational plays in where they feel a certain team has an advantage. To correctly handicap a game and go through all of the details for just 1 particular matchup could take hours to come up with an advantage, and you could still get the wrong result. A lot of people now are using some kind of funky "system" that they either created or followed and have had some kind of success with to come up with multiple plays a day. I seriously doubt any of these guys sits down and analyzes every game that they release, especially in baseball season where cappers will sometimes release 5 or 6 plays a day. While I do think it is alittle more involved than simply flipping a coin, and there is some kind of expertise involved, whether it be knowledge of the sport or familiarity with correctly reading lines, I don't think it's as "matter of fact" as some people take it for. People think that just because these are so called "professional handicappers" that their opinion on a game matters any more than your own. If you watch the games yourself, know about the sport, then there is no reason why you can't put your own money on the side that you like.

The reason for someone to pay for a service would be because they don't know anything about the sport but still want to gamble, or that they are looking for a long term way to make money. Gambling on sports is no different than playing the stock market, it is the same principle...ups and downs and profit over time. someone may be looking at it more as an investment than a hobby. If you buy a sports package from a handicapper then yes people should expect that they will eventually profit since most of them do,( with exceptions of course ) but it won't be at the rate that most hardcore gamblers expect. Handicappers will go on winning streaks, just as they will go on losing streaks, the same as anyone else who gambles.. the key to truly profiting is maximizing the profits while minimizing the losses. Meaning if you purchase a service and the capper gets hot, then you increase your wager. If he starts losing then you cut back your wagers until things even off and he starts winning again. Money management is probably the single most important thing in sportsbetting, almost as important as winning the game itself. And its all about long term. A majority of people don't have the discipline to be able to limit their wagers or stretch their bankroll to survive a 10 game losing streak...most will chase and try to get back the money that they lost on the previous wager. Thats where people get frustrated, cause they are trying to chase by blindly following a handicapper and they follow on a losing day. Too many people jump from capper to capper looking for the "hot hand" which is why everybody thinks that they suck. If you are dumb enough to blindly follow a "100,000,000 dime, never lost before, 10000-0 ATS Game of the Year" just because a random person likes the game, then you get what you deserve...those are all marketing tactics to simply boost sales, everyone should know that. If you know enough about sports and are just doing this as a hobby and you don't care whether you ever cash out of your sportsbook then I would recommed you pick the plays yourself, but if you are looking to make money over time then stick to one handicapper and don't deviate, thats the only way to consistantly make money. Of course, its easier said than done.
