I know a few rich people in their 70's that live in my neighborhood that are always money hungry. All they talk about is money and they will step over anyone to get it. There was this one guy that used to live in my neighborhood that was 73 years old and was very wealthy. All he would talk about was money and always screwing people over (hiring cheap labor at his businesses). He died a year ago from a heart attack and that's that. As far as I remember, he never had any family that ever came to visit him. He did have a daughter, but she stopped talking to him years ago.

I mean if you are that old, you need to chill. You can't take any of it with you. I just turned 30 and have been extremely fortunate in life, but one thing I've learned is money does not make you happy.

Just weird seeing people with one foot in the grave being so stingy/greedy/money hungry. At that age, you only have a limited time left on earth. Chasing money is retarded.

Father-in-law passed away a few years ago. Saved every nickel he made. We're spending it like drunken sailors. Thanks, Dad!

My mother in law was a hood rat and my father in law had alligator arms and clown pockets every time we went out for dinner. Died with 600 large in the bank. Nice little inheritance. After taxes we've been able to donate a lot to our local church and the United negro college fund.

This is a great time to be alive, because in order to be self-made back then, you had to be a huge businessman, and likely go this route, because if you didn't, your competition would.

With the internet, now you don't. You can become rich and still do right by people.

Try looking at it that way instead of being angry/annoyed.
