i have diabetes and it is effecting my eyes...he said i need an injection in my eye..yes in the fin eye..so i get the injection and what followed was awful..felt like my eye had been scratched and was a constant nagging...all read..teary eyed..nose running..all the tear and connected organs were ****** up..wow..this fkin sucks....id wished i never ate sweets after going thru this..anybody ever have this done..oh he says i might need more shots...id doubt i would go thru this again
Nope not this guy You are hereby declared a bigger man than I !
My eyes are my phobia....can't stand anything getting close to them much less a needle. I'd learn brail and bye a helper dog if I needed contacts to see with...nope, not gonna happen.
BOL with the treatmentsand hopefully a good management of the disease pal.
nyplayer33, I too go through this every month, but I'm
not having quite the same reaction as you. My eye is
sore for a couple hours after the injection, and the dilation
seems to last quite awhile. (Bright circles around lights)
Small price to pay to keep your eyesight. I remember my first
injection as my heart was beating faster then a racehorse.
Now it's just getting to be routine and a bit annoying. If
the swelling behind your eye becomes stable they may spread
the time between injections to a longer period of time.
Eating sugar isn't the only reason you may have diabetes,
genetics, stress (gambling, LOL) and it goes on and on.
I wish you all the best, and do your best to control your
diabetes. Yeah, it really SUCKS.
Dogkatcher, thanks for the reply. What meds do they use in your eye?? The doctor said it would not be an issue after the injection..but i had an awful 10 hours or so. It's now 16 or so hours after the injection and it's much better..pain almost gone etc..just little sore which is fine. If I knew the dangers of diabetes can lead to this..i'd of been on a diet and more complaint...live and learn.
i'd say heroin hero flyingillini sees something in this eye injecting bizz, wouldn't be surprised if he's run out of room on his grotesque body so he probably thinks you've done him a favor here
calling it now, within 5 mins of reading this thread he'll be blind
seriously though, that's some fu-ked up shit op, couldn't deal with it in the eye I'd bitch out every time, cut down on the sweets tubs!
u dont have to be a fat peson to be diabetic..it depends on what kind you have. Easier said then done to say lay off the food etc..maybe for you it's easy. Before you attack me and call me names..not that i care..look at yourself who probably uses drugs..smokes..cheats on your girl..shall I go on...we all have demons

My Dr. is using the drug Lucentis. He said it may change
later on to one that has a longer interval between shots.
Apparently it is on the FDA pipeline, but he thinks within
a year possibly.
I hope your next experience will be an improvement, best
of health and good fortune.
My dad went through this before he died a few years ago, you had better fukking start taking care of yourself right now. At one point he couldn't legally drive, had to drive him everywhere, to and from work 6 days a week, to his 3 or 4 dr appointments every week. After about 4 laser eye surgeries he could drive during the day. Still never took care of himself or took his meds, two years later they said lose a leg or you won't survive 6 months. He chose the latter. Shit gets real pretty quick if you take any of this lightly, take your meds and force yourself to eat less sugar.
