It's a definite no. Only a degenerate backwards, redneck, uneducated and mentally debile society shames in public for minor non-violent crimes. No I'm not liberal, I just expect people and society to conduct themselves with a bit fukking dignity, even towards those weak individuals who can't

Good by me. Impressionable young people would really think hard about petty crimes if they knew they could be put in their neighborhood for their town.

im not so sure. kids who see this will say "what a loser, i just wont get caught. and if i do get caught, i wont have to go to jail, just wear a stupid sign". for the person wearing the sign, it will work as a deterrent, but not for the public imo.

SBR_John -- thanks for your opinion but you have no idea what you're talking about. Research shows that criminals rarely think about the possible consequences of their actions no matter what they are (re: capital punishment).

Wordsworth is on the right track. As society, we need to foster our fallen citizens and help them through their problems as a collective unit. I know it sounds like a prissy fairy tale but it's the only way we ever eliminate crime (YES IT'S POSSIBLE). When we start looking at crime as a weakness in society and not the specific individual, only then will we be able to progress to a sophisticated population.

I just quickly typed this up, but if anyone would like to debate, I have endless research to back up my claims and refute yours.

Hate to break it to you, but you are a liberal...

And your ways just aren't working...

So since it's a "minor" or "non-violent" crime does that mean it's OK???

The idiot that gave clowns like you the inch in the first place is who's to blame...

You think we have a liberal system?

Killing people, imprisoning people for their whole lives, treating people like animals in cages, etc. is liberal to you?

We're not even close to a liberal system!

Even liberal advancements (such as restorative justice) have simply been absorbed by the larger system and redefined completely the point that it just becomes another apparatus in the overarching umbrella of the criminal justice system.

Give me 30 years and Canada will have a real justice system that is fair, compassionate, and most of all EFFECTIVE. And accordingly so, we'll also have the lowest crime rates, the lowest incarceration rates, and the greatest quality of life for all people.

Mike it is better to shame two cent criminals then lets say war criminals who profit billions. There wouldn't be enuf space in NYork to put signs on all those jackoffs on Wall Street. Once again the braindead in here are worried about a three dollar item when billions are stolen right in front of them.

    ^^ very true thor

united states is now 15 trillion in debt, and if you include unfunded ss/medicare it's probably 100 trillion
most people don't stop and think of the ramifications of that

that's $150,000 for every household currently, and if you include unfunded ss/medicare that's $1,000,000 for every household!

so every family in the united states is under water by A MILLION DOLLARS! sooner or later the shit will hit the fan

You know nothing. If Obama gets his millionaire tax it will raise 5 trillion dollars. Errrrr 5 billion dollars, my mistake. Anyway, then each family will only owe $999,990. Problem solved.

We get it..you're worried about your taxes.

You caught lightning in a bottle when you started SBR (making your fortune off pushing people into sportsbooks...75% of which no longer exist) - so every argument you make is based on your fear of having to pay a bit more, or pay your CR programmers even less.

SBR doesn't push anyone to sportsbooks. They give you information to help you select sportsbooks. They don't force you to go play at any. They will also try to help you if you have problems at ANY book. They also give you points every day to redeem for free shit.

Push is a term used by those with affiliate sheets - as in "guide" towards. Never said "force"

So SBR does not make any money through affiliate deals with books of varying ratings?

Even weirder when you consider the "A" books with loads of complaints, and the "B" books that have been nothing but smooth sailing.

The only thing people should get for stealing from Wal-Mart is a high five. 'Nuff said.

You're a Canadian who smokes pot all day? You don't say.

I could not come up with a better way to describe the impractical commie liberal mindset on crime than that sentence. You've said some racist stuff on here, otherwise you would be the textbook Canadian liberal they churn out in droves up there.

Yup I definitely stated that they shouldn't receive due punishment and that it is ok to steal. And there are of course no existing laws or insurance related measures that handle theft and seek to reimburse business owners who fall victim to petty crimes.

I chuckle at your ability to read, reason and present your arguments. The fact that you resort to personal attacks by default, lets me conclude that you are completely unable to present any valid exchange of rational contention at the top of your head. But instead you lower your self to just defecate any coupling of words that support your gutter mentality, which conversely enforces my suspicion that I'd be better off by putting you on ignore. Because I am not going to waste time on intellect deprived human sinkholes. You should conduct your self with more dignity, even on a gambling forum

Starting wars while making policies to profit from those wars would be a start. Starting wars and then watching ur buddies make money off of it would be another start. Kinda like this guy but a guy like u prolly has no problem with this.

This is absolutely not true. I would say around 50% of the population(maybe even higher) hate people simply because they ARE successful.

Here's a true story... when I was a kid every summer I would go to the County Fair and one of my favorite things to see at the County Fair was the Demolition Derby's. Well... even back to the age of around 12 I remember there were 4 brothers that were always in the Derby. They were always in different Heats but I was amazed at how good they were. I sort of admired their ability even if it was only a Demolition Derby. Well... the crowd hated them. And every year the hatred towards them seemed to grow. I never really understood why. Even to this day I still think it's because they were so damn good. I realize that everybody loves an Underdog and I do too but I also admire people for their ability no matter how unimportant that ability might be. I think a lot of people admire others simply because they are "famous". Yet, others hate people for the same exact reason. A friend of mine once told me "I hate rich people". Why? Because they are successful? That doesn't make any sense to me but yet people still do it.
