Five Guys Beats In-N-Out as Most Popular Burger Chain
Five Guys is America's favorite and most well-known burger brand — at least according to The Harris Poll's annual EquiTrend Study, released Tuesday.

Five Guys, number two on the list in 2016, took the top spot this year. Meanwhile, In-N-Out Burger fell to second.

Separately, Starbucks rose in the rankings, beating out Dunkin' Donuts this year.

Brooks finally made a true statement. 5 Guys is really just ok, nothing special, overpriced with having to buy everything separate, there are other places that taste better. No In N Out where I live, may have ate at one in teens out of state but dont remember, people talk about them alot.

I once put down a 12x12 from in n out. Problem was they stopped making anything bigger than a 4x4, so I had to order 3 of those and put it together myself. I think it took me 30 minutes, and I didn't move from the couch for 2-3 hours afterwards. The only reason I did it was because I randomly remembered that I knew a guy in highschool who put down and 11x11. Wanted to break his record that day.

Look at all the crappy lettuce and tomato on that 5 Guys burger. Vegetables (except bacon) do NOT belong on a burger.

This pretty much sums it up.

Five Guys feels like that highly marketed movie with a bunch of stars, pimped all around the country, but the plot and acting just ends up sucking, or in Five Guys' case, just nothing special.

These poll results feel much more like the result of marketing.

make it unanimous...five gais sucks moose dong....since it's mandatory that all of their burgers must be cooked well done, it's like chewing on rubber and grease...if you need a burger, Fuddruckers is the place to go!...Luckily, I've got one in my neighborhood....

Lots of hate for 5GUYS. But I think the burgers are pretty damn good. Expensive for just a damn burger. 6.99 in my town. Then fries and I'm already over $10 without a drink. But outside of price, I agree with the rank.

I had a 400 pound friend we called Cuddles in college. He'd walk into In N' Out in Venice and just yell out "Gimme the quad, animal style."

They'd have it ready by the time he got to the register to actually order and pay.

Love IN-N-Out,,,absolutely love them,,,their business concept down to how simple their menu is. Just the basics.

Only thing is,,their 60 second fries. Its what I call them. Fresh cut potatoes to fryer and ,after you get them, salted of course. You have 60 secs to finish them ,,or they are complete azz after that. But for the first 60 secs,,,its heaven.

once you cross that Red River Line, that just don't mean a thing......

Five Guys feels like that highly marketed movie with a bunch of stars, pimped all around the country, but the plot and acting just ends up sucking, or in Five Guys' case, just nothing special.

These poll results feel much more like the result of marketing.
I feel the same way about Starbucks, everyone seems to go there but to me the coffee tastes like crap.

You people are crazy. Five Guys is great, a godsend when you're hungry.

Though I guess with 1300 stores now (was like 50-100 only a few years ago) there will likely be some slippage in quality control.

Didn't some of the top In n Out executives die in a plane crash many years ago? I seem to remember their plane went down while coming in to John Wayne.
