Several years ago I met this guy that played in a country-western band and we got to talking. He told me he grew up in the same town as Axl Rose, but was a few years younger than him and had met him around town a few times. He told me that at the time, Axl had a reputation as kinda of a fukk-up. I asked him what he thought of him after Axl and GNR hit it big. He told me it was great, it gave hope to every kid growing up there because if a fukk-up like him could hit it big, then anyone could.
