Yeah, like a mini, downtown vegas.

It's more like a larger indian casino.

Don't get me wrong, I have had my fun there, as any degenerate can with an itch to scratch and a game willing to take your money.

    Save the gas, play laughlin.

If you been drinking all day out on Havasu or you need the first stop for a sports wager from Phoenix
    than it's not bad
otherwise just drive the extra 2 hours to vegas

The river is great, depending on when you're going. Food is good. Laid back place, have all the gambling you will need. Don't see a need to spend the money, just to get LV, will take a couple hours and lot's of desert.

There is really nothing going on there... It's somewhere to go if you live close but I wouldn't travel far to go...

Bottom line, I don't give a shit if it is a table at the back of some shit stained basement, if I am winning money.

I win money in laughlin - every. single. time.

Unless I hit trips or some ridiculous str. flush on 3 card poker, Vegas always gets some of my money.

lauglin is nice. i don't know how anyone can call it boring. wtf? u can catch the greyhound bus to vegas downtown. the laughlin stop is across the river in front of casinos.

laughlin has great night visuals all those casino reflecting off the river.

do both. stay downtown. in vegas. rise the strip bus. if you want mgm grand.

bus bus bus. ez all the way.

in the end it's always Viva Las Vegas. but las vegans go to laughlin a lot for water fun and gaming.

It's geared towards the older crowd, boss. Not a real hip night life at all.

If you are going for the party, you are better off in Vegas - for the party. How the fukk you plan on getting back to laughlin after the party? The stretch of highway between there and Vegas is death, man.

Once you make the turn, towards Vegas, straightest goddamn road I've been down.

Did that trip once on St. Patty's when I was younger, ended up driving back deep into a fukked up night at 9am.

From November through January you can get weeknight rooms for $6 a night most years especially since 9-11.They are at the Edgwater and Colorado Belle.I think there are 8 or 9 large casinos in Laughlin. You can rent cars at The Ramada casino.Bullhead City,Arizona across the river is a descent town to shop. Then there is a neat route 66 old gold mining town called Oatman ,Arizona not far away where jackasses wander the streets. You can go to AVI casino run by the Indians just down the road at Needle's,California.Lots of golf courses.I see the one where they do the longest drive competitions on ESPN now and then. Then it's not that far to those few big casinos on the California border in Primm where they have an outlet mall and amusement park.Searchlight up the road from Laughlin has a few casinos and you can take the Joshua tree road between Primm and Searchlight which is neat.In the spring you can make a day trip to Palm Springs and see the 29 palms marine base and Joshua Tree national forest. You can drive or take one of the boats from Laughlin to Lake Havasau and see the London Bridge.Buffets at the Edgewater and Colorado Belle are cheap weekdays using your players cards.

Seems to me like a laid back place if you just want a peaceful trip with gambling mixed in

I bet I can get trim there as maybe the older crowd is horny

I hear some of the sportsbooks are good too

its ok, but it really depends on what youre going to play. if you want a nice poker room...go to vegas. if you just want basic table games with basic stakes, it doesnt really matter where you play.
