Don't Ever Buy A Panasonic Flat Screen TV

Shits are garbage. Had mine only 2+ years. A 58". Paid $1800 for a plasma, black friday sale. Beautiful picture. Love the TV. The other day the thing cut off for no reason. I unplugged it an now it works. But, I went online and it seems this is a common problem. Shit can die at anytime. Panasonic won't make good on the defective product. This has happened to thousands of people. If my TV die, I am beat. I have a 4 year old Samsung 50" that I use way more than the 58". Never had a problem. Samsung is the way to go. Panasonic is not a reputable company. That's what I get for being thirsty on black friday. Panasonic Viera TV's

Have a Panasonic plasma for 8 years, still no issues.
Have a Panasonic plasma for 3 years, still no issues.

Have 1 Samsung for 3 years, no issues.
Have 1 Samsung for 3 months, no issues.

Albeit none of my Tv's are on for more than 3 hours a day (except Saturday/Sunday afternoons)

I would say if Tv's are on for a prolonged length every day, that there is a better chance that they will run into problems...I do have a fukkin dish network box that I need to reset at least 3 times a week...Nothing like laying down in bed and turning on the TV, and then it doesn't work, so I gotta get up and reset the fukkin thing.

Panasonic/Samsung plasmas are all the same in my book.

Panasonic is the king of the Plasma, and Plasma is the king of TV's to watch sports on.

There is not a major manufacturer of plasma tv's better than Panasonic, that is a fact.

Love Samsung generally - but Panny is the best in the bizz for major manufacturer's state side.

I have a top of the line Panny from 4 years ago, and it is on probably 70-80 hrs per week, and it is still the . Best picture out of anything I have seen at any of my friends homes. THX certified - great TV.

Have a cheap $500 50 inch LG in the bedroom, and it works fine. LG is just a legalized reverse manufactured Panasonic or Sony or Samsung - This one looks like a Samsung plasma, so I am assuming I bought a knock off Samsung for $500.

I've had Panasonic plasma and Samsung DLP for years. Plasma panasonic has better picture. Samsung dlp just needs a new bulb every 3 years or so. I've been told many times Panasonic is the best plasma but Samsung is very close. You just got unlucky.

Panasonic or Samsung, either one you'll be happy with...Both have the top selling TV's and both dominate the top 10 selling Plasma TV's.

If its a know defect, panny should cover the repair charges. Doesn't matter if it is a small percent. Why take a chance that YOU could be one of the thousands. I like gambling, but c'mon......
