Of course a surgeon will tell you that you need surgery
I broke my scaphoid last year and every surgeon said that no way the scaphoid can heal, limited blood flow to that area, going to be tough for a sports player to heal this injury without surgery. no way i would let a surgeon touch my wrist. long story short, i stopped using it, i sat in the sauna a lot, massaged it after several weeks, drank a lot of milk, and bought a red light machine which i used over it every day several times a day to improve blood flow. i went back to the surgeon after 10 weeks and he was stunned that the bone was fusing back together. said "you're the luckiest patient i've ever had."
be wise. good luck.
