It's huge because of Asia, Europe and Australasia. I think some forget (not you obv) when people say Asia, India and the surrounds are included. I see guys on here talking about Asia like it's only China and Japan. Cricket wagering is huge across proper Asia and every where else other than the Americas really. You won't see a lot of it on here but there are a few other forums more Southern Hemi based that you'll see guys debating what to bet before each bowl of the ball - as in every 20 seconds. We even get odds on tv like every 3 seconds... bet on this, bet on that. It's a really heavily wagered sport which is why so many players, especially recently, have been busted for fixing and cheating.

Not global exactly but heavy money wagered in the UK, Australia and India.

Against what Shari wrote a few posts up sports like Rugby Union and Cricket have developed hugely in the last 20 years. In the past they were broadly amateur sports. Multi-million dollar contracts for the top players are the norm now though as is the commercialisation that comes with them.

Rugby Union and Cricket are great sports. However even if a select few of them make $1million a year across both sports, what happens? They do so for 3 or 4 years and fade away. Rugby union more so than cricket - at least Warney is trying to prolong his earning time by commentating. Unfortunately only so many can do that as we don't need 50 guys yapping on tv. There is truly no comparison with these sports as far as North American ones go... whether that's right or wrong, I'd assume that's the function of the market. Only 2 maybe 3 states in Australia care about Rugby Union hardcore... the other 3 care about the AFL and hate RU or at least won't spend more than $15 to go see a match. So take Australia out. You're left with England, Saffy and Ireland. Cricket is different but they're still not making a fortune. Ricky Ponting is hawking vitamins here constantly... Michael Clarke is trying to sell speedos. This is not N. American contract stuff.

The only reasons those sports have bigger number of betting is because those areas allow gambling. The us sports gambling numbers hurt because a lot of Americans have to Vegas to bet or do it online Which can be a hassle. If sportsbetting was legal here you can believe our sports would be way up on the top of the most bet sports

Maybe the fact that only 10% of Duhmurhikans owning a passport has something to do with this.

Another hilarious thing during the Superbowl: Madonna's performance ending with the words "World Peace" lighting the field! HAHAH!!! USA and World Peace?!?!?!? Are you guys for real?!? How many wars are you currently fighting where you are the instigator??? Hypocrisy at its finest! How many hundreds and thousands of civilian deaths has the US been responsible for in the 2000's??? World peace, my ass!!! Only a brainwashed herd of sheep would believe that the US promotes world peace! World peace and America is an oxymoron for those of you who were born yesterday!
It took you 6 days to put this together?
