had to drive up the 405/110 from newport beach to the downtown LA courthouse the next morning for a hearing.... surreal lookin' warzone in s. cental to the west of the 110.... fires still smoldering.....

A partner on the case told me to no-show the hearing due to the riots....but I wanted to see the shit for myself....

didn't see a whole lot from atop the freeway, but did see one malatov cocktail fly up onto the south bound lane of the 110 (I was obviously headed north).... fukkin' thing burned out mid air and didn't even explode into flames.... what a f'n dud!

to this day, I blame the local LA media and their thirst for live coverage for largely causing the LA riots... had they not been showing live coverage of the initial flash point at Florence and Normandie -- and the subsequent lack of any police response thereto -- the rest of the unemployed "democrats" hangin' out on their small porches in the hood never would have gotten the idea in their heads to riot and go a lootin'.....

but when 100,000 people sittin' round gettin hi and drinkin saw the cops not showing up, they said "holy shit!!! let's do this!!!!" and all starting cashing in the opportunity to go wildin' and acquire new shit....

And as my hours of videotape show, these minorities were not angry protestors, but rather they were laffing, smiling, and partying while bustin into stores....

as news cameras would start filming them in the stores, they come running out with shit, laffing, holla-ing, and trying to shield their faces and shit.... some didn't even care they were on film and were parading around with their new claimed booty as if it were Christmas morning..........

takes me back to my high school days.... growing up in Corpus, where I think I saw only one mooselum from the time I was born until I was about 16, when I had that first experience. Given the decade (early 80's), he wasn't decked out in camo or just standing there spewing a bunch of radical jihadist bullshit.... rather, he was riding a bike on the side of the relatively narrow two-lane road I was driving down, heading east, in the same direction as I was.

But, as you might imagine, all that made little difference to young Donk, who for some reason instinctively realized -- even way back then -- that this dusty foreigner, or those that might follow him, was likely to pose future problems for the community.

So, I quickly grabbed one of the ears of corn, and as I approached him, took it in my left hand, right hand on the wheel, raised my arm out the rolled-down window, and off-handedly winged the ear of corn across the hood of my car toward the mooselum biker -- who was now slightly off the road (as he could hear me coming up behind him and was trying to avoid getting hit) and bumping along in the grass/rocks (there were no shoulders on this road, just two tight paved lanes, one in each direction).

BOOM!!!! RIGHT IN THE UPPER BACK!!!! A PERFECT SHOT.... one that would have made Chris Kyle proud.....

Now, it may be that it was simply the future taxi driver's bad luck that caused him to inadvertently run over or into a large stone or some sort of chicane on the side of the road, thereby causing him to lose control of his bike, but I'll never know for sure. As I was watching the scene unfold out my passenger side front and rear windows while passing him, I could see that his front wheel had kind of "jack-knifed" 90 degrees to the right, immediately stopping the bike.

Quickly shifting the rear view mirror to see out the passenger's side of my rear window, I could see the young mohammed flying over the handle bars of the suddenly-stopped bike, and crashing after about a 3/4 flip into a dusty heap...... And, I can't be sure if the dust was from the ground or simply coming from his body, but the last I ever saw of him, he was rolling down into the ditch along side that road, lost into the tall Johnson grass growing on the slope of the ditch.....

Yep, if only..... If only I was there in my old clunker, on the way home from Grandma's house, with a couple grocery bags full of corn, when those dogs shot that video above.........
