    this dont seem right, there are way worse areas I would rather not be in... I would def. not want to live there, but there is way worse... that area is just where alot of metrolink stations are and nightclubs etc...
    i agree. back when i used to drive down from chicago to st. louis all the time for blues and cards games i would always be hanging around like 14th and market street which really aint too far from mlk. i never once felt threatened. def way worse areas than that.

    and how in the hell did nothing from new orleans or baton rouge make the list? we are the poorest state and corruptest state for sure. never seen such a f'd up justice system where they let killers back on the streets only to kill again. the gun laws are so lax here.

    We have over 200 neighborhoods and 70 some community areas here. A dozen "dangerous ones" but many more culturally rich and beautiful places. Not to mention the burbs like oak park ect that are really just as much part of chicago. Chi town has a little bit of everything for everyone. World class city, especially in the warm months
