    any runners here at sbr?

    just went out and bought the nike plus wrist band to track my running since i tend to run alot. any other members here use this as well?

    can create challenges on the website and can run against people all around the world.

    would highly recommend to any runners.

    I use an app on my Android phone to track walks/jogs/runs, it actually makes it more fun.

    Not big in to long distance running but any cardio is a nice bonus on the body.

    I use to run 5k path in town everyday for years but with the exception of a run here and there, I haven't consistently ran in over 2 years... body is paying the toll because of it... keep the running up because once you stop, its 10x harder to find the urge to pick it back up.

    i'm still young, haha only 21. so i'll be running for many years to come. i figured if i found someone else with nike plus. it would make it more fun

    i use the adidas micoach app which is better than the nike+ app/system/whatever but there are a million free running apps so im sure there are better than that one too

    I want to get that nike plus watch, but its like $200

    Is it worth it? I have ran for a long time, not as good as I was back in highschool when i ran XC, but can still get it done.

    Please post your thoughts about the nike plus watch.

    are you sure it's 200? the one i got is a watch too and it was 60

    If you have an iPhone there's a free app called runkeeper. Best running app On the planet. Tracks and gives you live updates as you run. Distance, pace, etc.. You don't need those overpriced gps watches or bands...

    runkeeper isnt the best running app on the planet, though it is the most overrated

    the free version doesnt help you set up a plan for training....all it does is track activity

    micoach (free app) sets up a 30-40 workout plan after an assessment workout that helps you reach a target goal...i know there's others that do the same and more but that's what i use

    I use an adroid ap to calculate my distances for running or biking. I learned the hard way not to strap my phone to my arm to see how far I swim.

    The beauty of running is you only need shoes, shorts and the outdoors. To each his own. If you are competitive run an organised 5k.
