Walking on to a golf course without paying?

My friends were at an expensive golf course the other day, when a couple of guys just walked on without paying or checking in first.

Does this kinda thing happen alot?

During the summer of 2008 I walked on to this shit Golf Course at least 50 times. But to answer your question, no it does not happen often.

Don't think it happens often, but I can see why someone would. Greens fees are ridiculous.

I walked on once, but that was because I waited like 10 minutes at the register and no one came to help and hole one was open.

I have to admit we did it a bunch in college, if we got caught we would all look around at each other and talk about how we thought the other guys had checked in. The key is to dress up a little, make sure you got the 'golfer' look to you and people usually leave you alone....

Im not sure how often it happens, but a cousin of mine went to one of the nicer courses here in town and took one of the golf cart keys home with him. So everytime he wanted to go golfing he would just grab a cart and golf

Could also be the owners, or friends or relatives of the owners.

our private course in town sucks and its the most expensive. So nobody walks on to it. And the good courses are so rural that it is hard to do.

I actually do this every weekend at the course by my house. I don't take my whole set of clubs just 5 or so but I do it in the late afternoon after 6 or so.

if you are playing some local par 3 course.. you can do it.. i used to cut class when i was in high school and do it all the time..

somewhere nicer.. you have to go in with a wedding crashers mentality
