Let me explain more, you're not understanding what I'm trying to say.
First, your question that I answered was, "is it still cool for african americans to where holograms on their hats?".
Then I answered you, that if people are doing it still, then it must still be considered cool.
You replied that someone could have cool stuff and not be cool.
Now, let me point out that your reply about having things and not being cool - is a different question that you first asked, which was is it cool to wear the hologram.
So to conclude and answer both your questions, yes if people are still doing it that shows that doing it is still thought of as cool - or else people wouldn't be doing it. To answer your last question about having cool things and not being cool, that is an obvious given and you are of course right - people can own cool things, and try to show off by doing cool thing and it doesn't make them cool. But, that doesn't change the fact that the things they own and the things they are doing are cool. Simply put, doing something "cool" or fashionable, does not make that person cool - it just makes them a un-cool person doing cool things.
Does that help?
