    Let me explain...

Let me explain more, you're not understanding what I'm trying to say.

First, your question that I answered was, "is it still cool for african americans to where holograms on their hats?".

Then I answered you, that if people are doing it still, then it must still be considered cool.

You replied that someone could have cool stuff and not be cool.

Now, let me point out that your reply about having things and not being cool - is a different question that you first asked, which was is it cool to wear the hologram.

So to conclude and answer both your questions, yes if people are still doing it that shows that doing it is still thought of as cool - or else people wouldn't be doing it. To answer your last question about having cool things and not being cool, that is an obvious given and you are of course right - people can own cool things, and try to show off by doing cool thing and it doesn't make them cool. But, that doesn't change the fact that the things they own and the things they are doing are cool. Simply put, doing something "cool" or fashionable, does not make that person cool - it just makes them a un-cool person doing cool things.

    Does that help?

I didn't get it back when I made the thread, but I still don't get it now. Even if I still don't get it, is it still cool for african americans to where holograms on their hats?

Not trying to be a smart ass but I think it's a waste of time to try and figure it out

Reminds me of Bio 101 where I had to go to the zoo and write down when monkeys slung feces at eachother

Tuesday, I appreciate the response. I don't know though if a group of african americans in a city who still wear holograms on their cap would be cool if another group of african americans in the same city don't rock the holograms on their caps because they know it is not cool anymore. So based on this example, is it cool?

The group that doesn't rock it gets hotter hoes, steals more cars and slangs more rock vs the other group that wear holograms on their caps. They are only into petty theft and hang around with heavier african american females who wear holograms on their caps.

LL Cool J did the pant leg to the knee thing in a music video a long time ago. I believe the video was "Hey Lover" but I'm not 100% sure...however, the hologram is just one of those trends that they think is cool...not sure who started it.

thats probably a good way to get your ass beat. As a fellow african american i can tell you a cultural thing.

Its just the cool thing to do. Also we keep the tags on our Jerseys so we can return the Jersey after we wear it
so we aint gotta pay for it

I ball so hard i need a jersey on and i keep the tags on so you know i'm fresh

This look has been going on for awhile. When will african americans stop wearing holograms on their caps?

Wouldn't it fly, dope, crunk or whatever term is used for someone to stop wearing them to start a new fad of not wearing them?

i usually have to try on about 50 hats to get one to fit just right. They seem all fit different even if they are the same size.

As far as the question its b/c it looks cool

What's more of a mystery is when the first kid did it and his friends didn't make fun of him, thus ending the trend then and there.

While sagging did gain its start in the U.S. prison system, it was not a clothes-wearing style authored by imprisoned homosexuals intent upon advertising their interest in casual flings. Sagging pants became the behind-the-bars thing thanks to ill-fitting prison-issue garb: some of those incarcerated were provided with clothing a few sizes too large. That oversizing, coupled with the lack of belts in the big house, led to a great number of jailbirds whose pants were falling off their arses. (Belts are not permitted in most correctional facilities because all too often the lifeless bodies of their inmate owners have been found hanging from them.)
