How does the infraction system work?

I read a post by one of the moderators stating that if a poster receives an infraction when he/she has two infractions that haven't expired it's an automatic suspension. Three strikes and you're out. How long is the suspension for a first offender? 24 hrs? What about the second time it happens to that poster? Longer suspension? Each additional time carries a longer suspension?

I don't get hit with many infractions, this is more for the troublemakers on board.

While starting this thread I was thinking of Bateman. He's been gone a long time, it surely wasn't his first forced vacation.

You mean your infraction hasn't expired?

The suspension ends when the first infraction given expires.
