Here are some answers: Yes, it is possible to make $100k to $150k Per year betting on sports, if you can consistently pick winners. And yes, you will be able to find places to take your bets (although some will kick you out fir winning). Nevertheless, I strongly suggest that you listen to what some of the posters on this thread have said to you (hint: especially the posts/advice you find most
annoying), and read up a whole bunch more before you sink any real money in

i have been gambling a bit on NBA recently (Got back into it after a long break) and have been hitting around 65-70% of my bets on 15-20 bets or so. Most of my wins have been by a huge margin so I know it's not luck

If you are such a machine why did you take a break? If it was because you were getting buried,then a little hot streak isn't going to turn into a career. Also your games covering by a huge margin doesn't make them pay in more if you are straight betting. BOL

There is and you can.... however basing it on 15-20 bets is insane. If you don't know your edge after thousands of bets then there's a problem..... 15-20 might mean running good. 60-70% winners is almost impossible.

Amazing! 70% win rate for 15 bets, thats quite a large sample, if you keep that up you will easily be a millionaire at sports gambling

I won 15 out of 16 one time, over 93% win rate during that stretch, also many of those bets were by large margins so of course it couldnt have been luck

Unfortunately I just cant figure out where my skill went on the next 16 bets that I won 3 of

to me, you're either a good gambler or you're not. It's not a technical skill that needs to be learned after a million repetitions (Like say hitting or pitching in baseball)


if you're not good at gambling after say 50 games. Playing a 1000 games won't change anything, you'll just lose more money

Making a living on gambling is possible. 99% of the normal posters here are no where close to Pro.

Do yourself a favor and walkaway when it's still just a question. You can became a pro if you bet in professional mode.
no follow handicapper, use a solid money management, skill in matematics, statistics and economy.
know the sports is an additional usefull features.

I think mindset is one of most important things to have. Stay humble, when you win a bet, understand you just as well could have lost that bet, dont let winning cause you to become unhumble. Next is money management of course.

The Human element is the downfall of everyone here, no one is immune. Most folks here will chase off of a bad beat, by betting more money that they otherwise wouldn't do on a game they don't even like. Like me, I avoided playing the Lakers virtually the entire NBA season except when fading them. They were the last game today, and I was steaming off of a bad beat just minutes earlier, so I blew everything I made this morning on a 50/50 guess for the Lakers 2nd half line to win. I don't mind losing on a game I capped well, but losing on a pure guess is nightmarish.
