    How Important is Sleep?

    Im catching like 6 hours or less a night now, down from a consistent 7. I can definitely feel the difference...How many hours you guys sleepin?

    I think they say 8 hours a day. Me, usually 6 or 7.

    8 is necessary.... at least 6. anything less and your body is more likely to develop problems

    sleep is very important it affects your body both mentally and phyically, you should try to get at least a solid 8 hours a night

    I sleep from about 12:30 wake up 6:30
    That's enough for me.

    6-7 during the work week, try to up it to 9-10 on the weekend. Mitigating factor is how much my girlfriend flops around. Told her if she's that restless, she can burn some energy biblically.

    i used to need 8 FULL hours, then had a baby and am happy with 4 straight hours at some point during the night.

    Actually the 8 hour a night is just a myth. Doctors started saying 8 hours because it breaks the day up into 1/3. 8 hours for sleep, 8 hours for work and 8 hours for leisure. There have been numerous studies in which the individuals did not know the time of day and the average time of sleep was 10 hours.

    But every person is different. For me, i need to get about 9....which everyone should easily be able to get(from 10pm-7am). If i get any more or less then i feel fatigued.

    I can't sleep for more than 8 hours unless I am hungover. Then I sleep for 18.

    I got back and spine issues, if I sleep more than 6 or so I start to hurt and have to get up.

    Overrated. Take periodical naps, total 4-5 hours per day. Stay productive, enjoying being awake.

    I seldom get 8 hours rest. Only when I am really tired I can sleep 10+ hours; but most often I awake after some 7 hours, and am unable to sleep more.
