Godfather part 1 and 2.
Casino? Goodfellas? Not even close.
between Heat and Departed I'd say for #5. Usual suspects, casino, training day all close.

Training Day is on my personal top 10 and it and American Gangster were both available for posters to vote on, good choices Bronxer.
I liked Menace 2 Society, kind of a disturbing movie but shows how messed up the inner city black culture is and how hard it is to get out of it and better yourself even if you want to try, like the main character does in the movie
I've re-watched A Bronx Tale last night and feel it's a reasonably well done film, and deserving of around the spot it got in the poll. I also think the young kid (Little C) did really well and the middle aged kid (C) was a fukkin horrible actor - otherwise this one would have been higher for me.
Gangster flicks since 2012 - anything making this list?
You could make a case for a few Tarantino movies probably although his new ones aren't exactly typical gangster movies, more period pieces where his imagination runs wild.
Eastern Promises is good, as is The French Connection. Mean Streets is ok. Untouchables is way overrated IMO. I missed a couple but the TOP 5 is still solid.
American Gangster
Cougar:
*Did you know this idiot (Brancato) killed an off-duty cop?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lillo_Brancato
Same guy who played Matt Bevilacqua in Sopranos. Guy could have been huge.
The Pope of Greenwich Village - not really a typical gangster movie, probably belongs on here.
This is another movie that holds up over time - you can watch it once a year it's still good. Some of the other ones, you watch once and it's alright but this one is a classic.
Gangster / comedy
1. Made.
Made is a good one, definitely not conventional either. Wouldn't make the top 5 but great flick
Does THE DROP count?
Good flick
Scarface

I'm partial to Casino
It's gotta be the Departed. Everyone was throwing 100 or knocking down threes from the logo in every scene
Departed is on there, good one, didn't quite crack the Top 10, but probably should have.
Diggity - this thing has tom Hardy and Gandolfini and I've never seen it...
Wow I know what I am doing later, looks legit

Did Lucky Number Slevin or Smokin' Aces 2 make the list?
Did anyone mention the Town? Jeremy Renner came out of nowhere and stole the Ben Affleck's shine in that flick. He had one of the best quotes in that movie when they went to beat up the latinos
