Hope a new place tries to have some good blackjack rules so AC can compete with the PA casinos again.

Revel Officials Call Opening Day "Overwhelmingly Positive"
http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/c...a4bcf887a.html
went over to Revel this morning, my impressions:
1: I think the non-smoking will hurt them and within a year at least part of the casino will be smoking
2: one tier level. So you mean to tell me that I am going to go in there and lose $200 or so playing a trip and your going to treat me the same way as someone losing $20 a trip on the penny slots?
3: no free parking (doesn't effect me since I am diamond at Harrah's properties so I will just park at Showboat which is right next door and park for FREE)
4: No Diamond lounge (see number 2)
5: no comped/reduced rate rooms (see number 2) (again really doesn't effect me since i am local)
6: they have a BIG debit..good luck getting out the the hole
7: A friend of mine who is Seven Stars at Harrah's properties tried to get into the preview and they told him when he showed his Steven Star card "its not about that". lol, then what is it about? you have a player who is obviously a big time player at other properties and you won't let him in for the preview..haha, what a joke
Can't wait to see the place dead on a Monday/Tuesday night in September when the summer crowds have left you have no real reason for gamblers to be there
While I wish them all the best I will not be setting foot in there expect for maybe a concert or to eat a couple times a year
Bobby
Sounds like East coast version of Cosmopolitan. Going to choke on their debt and bleed money unless they are willing to sell for pennies on the dollar. Lots of flaws in business model based on what I'd heard and what Bobby confirmed.

RIP union brother
Revel Casino Will Have 14 Restaurants
http://articles.philly.com/2012-04-1...-grand-opening
thanks for the heads up
you have 7 impressions, and all of them are negative - there must have been something positive you could take away from the visit
also you say you wish them all the best but also "can't wait to see the place dead"? the place just opened, give it time. why would they give away rooms/parking right away when they're backed up?
my friend went as well and had a great impression of the place
we may go next month for a weekend trip
