in fairness HR they said they won't raise the price of bikes so that means the company will take it in the shorts but not the consumers.

In fairness, they will only absorb that cost until manufacturing begins off shore later this year.....What does that mean.....More Americans losing jobs for Trumps tariffs...

Trump has maintained that his "America First" trade stance would benefit American workers. Anyone that believes that is delusional..

GE basically bouncing from the lows. I was so tempted to average down from 14.70, so tempted but GE has such a bad taste recently I couldn't do it.

HIMX holding at the junction of the 50 and 100 day moving averages. I think this is healthy but don't forget we're dealing with the volatility of semiconductors, Asian markets, and the markets as whole.

I'm happy with the performance of USRT, PFFD, MORT, HYLB, and even SCHZ. They've kept the down days in check for my account.

Dow futures have battled back from down -110 to up +56.

Hard to say if the tariff talk is fully baked in. But with the end of the quarter upon us I could see a strong 5 or 6 sessions.

I was going to get out of Citigroup this morning, trying to structure on option to get out with a little extra cash, but now I may hold a little longer.

Not afraid to have stock called away for a small gain after writing a call.

I'm a heavy long on SPY. Was disappointed by the sell off the last two sessions but it mirrors what happened at the end of the 1st qtr.

I was heavy long at the end of the 1st and we actually had a soft 1st week at the start on the 2nd, like we are in now. And then we had a powerful rally as the quarterly reports started getting posted.

Think we will have a good week although if it follows last quarter maybe its a little soft. But we are going to see much higher prices this month imo.

I'll tell ya homie, i'm an insurance broker that helps people on Medicare with Medicare Advantage plans and the like..I'm appointed by all these companies with 700 customers split with Hu, UHC and Aetna. very little with BCBS...Humana is the least customer friendly, UHC the best. I recall just 3-4 years ago they all were selling in the $40-60 range...I never really fooled with them much. Looking back i should have...Humana depends on the Medicare business more than any. With possible changes in Medicare in the future that could change...UHC has as much Medicare business as Humana, however they have more group health and individual health than anyone on the planet..Same with Aetna lots of Medicare, health, and they do a lot of life insurance as well...In order: UHC, Aetna. I would leave Humana out and don't know enough about Anthem...

    Still love SQ....GL..

A fact you are not taking in. Walmart is trying to buy them. I have sold everything with contracts with all those you stated. My brother just left humana after 11 yrs because they were cutting commissions. Now they had a merger blocked between 2 companies by govt. Walmart is thinking of buying humana for their block of business. Got in humana in the 30's sold in 70's. Big mistake on my part.I had my series 6,7,lah and pc since 1983.I built 2 agencies for mon life and transamerican from nothing to 7 million.Built another for kemper

I am well aware the noise on the street about Walmart and Humana....No offense but your brother probably would have been better off getting away from Humana a long time ago.. I'm a broker, not a captive agent with any of these companies and only deal with Medicare Advantage Plans and Med Sups. With 700 Medicare Advantage clients in NC,VA and SC commissions on those plans have not been reduced to brokers....I was against the Aetna-Humana merger, we need more competition, not less. Sounds like you have done well.Congrats..

thanks. He was getting a 70,000 dollar bonus every year. He made another 100,000 plus got the match that is why he didn't leave. I made a lot of money but wished i would of went there. His list of customers were couple guys on tour and most of the big doctors in in ohio, kentucky and indiana. It was a closed group but one of my friends got him in it. He is making good money because they allowed him to take his block of business with him but they cut the commissions. I pray one day i can go back to work, hope you do well.

Seeing Europe in BIG rally mode I would speculate there could be some trade news. This is the week we rallied after the 1st quarter.

Are you saying it sucks because of something the plan did or that Labcorp over billed you. Over billing by medical facilities happens all the time due to the people working for them because they are not educated or trained properly..

i had lot's of issues with bcbs. They never wanted to pay anything. They would give permission to only deny it afterward. I had therapy up to a year afterward being released from the hospital. Got humana as hmo yr and half ago. The well care of drs leaves a lot to be desired in htn. The facilities are great. Lazy ass dr said he qualified something on hmo. Specialist had me sign a form stating that i would be responsible if insurance doesn't pay. Not telling me dr. didn't put it through. I explained it to humana and they didn't gig me. Needless to say I went to p.p.o.. With b.c.b.s they authorized me for more rehab. Then wouldn't pay it. The represen. told me they only pay if it affected the brain. I asked him what part of the body did he think a stroke effected. They still wouldn't pay it. I had to settle with the hospital for 15,000 out of my pocket as a lump sum payment. My father had blue cross so I had it since the 70's I have always had problems with them and they are located in cinti.

I still say we are up for a while.

What is concerning is will companies ratchet down estimates when the Qtrlys start flowing late next week due to trade concerns?

This could be one of those seasons where the earnings are blow out numbers but the stocks still fall. Even if that is in play I still think the pressure is on the up side very short term. It's really hard to be under weight with these powerful earnings.
