Very angry with myself for Tilting

Played TAG and LAG carefully on 5dimes poker for days, built 3X my ROLL. Then got ******* moody and killed myself in 15 minutes.
The mid range NL tables are always stocked with the same ten table players sitting all day and night waiting for a guy like me.
    ADVICE PLEASE

If you can't control your emotions, quit playing poker and get a job.

I know to only go in a room with the same amount of money as I ever do, whether I am feeling good or bad. That way if I go on tilt, I only lose as much as I would if I lost a normal hand to a bad beat.

Sure wish there was a way to win money 3 times faster than it takes to lose it, huh?

just lost 1k points in the SBR poker cash table

not the same as real money thats for sure, but i would have never guessed my hands would all lose when they did.

-Pocket Kings lose to and Ace on river
    -Straight lose to flush
-A-10, flop A and 10...two pair lost to trips
-flop is 992, i have a 2, go all in...hes got trips again

all losses were in about 20 hands to the same person

Tilting is such a stellar example of how the math guys can lay it all out on paper, and it blows up over one tilt play.
    Do bots ever tilt?

From what you posted I don't even think tilt is your biggest problem.

You are almost certainly practicing atrocious bankroll management. If you can triple your entire bankroll over the course of a couple days in cash games you are playing too high. To lose it all back in 15 minutes means that you are playing ridiculously too high. If going broke bothers you, and apparently it does, play stakes where your risk of ruin won't be gigantic.

Also, you need to game select better. If you find the games too tough at a given limit, then don't play them. Playing games that you know are too tough and then complaining when you lose isn't a smart strategy.

I don't mean to come across as rude in this post, but if you want to do well you're going to have to take a more responsible approach to the game.

My tilt-prevention personal rule is to only rebuy once, if i lose what i started with and the rebuy its over for a while... anyone can get a tough beat once on your all in, if you get 2, chances are you're going to lose it

Ya, if I get stacked for a buyin. I reload once and if it is not going my way. I chill (i.e. grab a beer...) for a short while and change tables... I find that the flow of the table and people call down more when they see you are on cold streak.

    Cheers and good luck!

thank you, and you come across frank and blunt and wise.

Let me focus my question a bit:

I have found you are very correct, playing outside of my comfort zone is bad...for example, say I thrive in .25/.50 Holdem NL on 5dimes Truepoker.

I realized upping my the game to .50/1 and then to 1/2 produced commensurately poorer results, it being obvious to me i almost 'owned' the .25/.50 tables, and FELT OWNED at the higher stakes.
Now that could be indicative of a better player at the higher stakes, but more likely my comfort zone in a PF 4x bet is at $2 and not $8.

Now being as objective as possible, i would say I get bored becuase i play only one table. I can't seem to fathom my opponents ability to play 8-10 tables, unless they are bots and/or pure premium hand players?

Hopefully i can hear back some advice with this tweaked response of mine considered.

    thanks in advance

You walk up to a table with $500 in your pocket (any table, poker, blackjack craps, whatever)

You play for awhile, and find yourself down $250.

The only way to 100% absolutely guarantee that your net worth will be reduced by $250, is to walk away from the table.

It's hard to walk away knowing your net worth has been reduced when there's a chance to get it back...if....things just turn around...a little bit.... Very, very hard to walk away.

Successful gambling in the long haul is tough.

I know their cousins the pinball machines have been known to tilt.....sorry

Lots of ways to deal with tilt varies from person to person. I've heard and agree with that most tilt comes from anger (and/or frustration) -- so maybe I'm stating the obvious but it's not about the tilty PLAY but the state of mind that leads to this type of play.

    Good luck!

Just came from YouTube where I watched half a dozen tuff fish vids. If it's not the cure for tilting, certainly a great band aid!
