    SBR Royal Flush Promo requirements

To qualify for the SBR Royal Flush promo reward, the following conditions must be met:

    • Hand must be played to showdown. If one player folds on the river card, and the winning player shows his cards, this will not qualify for the reward. Hand MUST be fully completed and taken to showdown with both players showing their cards.

    • Hand must be played at a Texas Hold Em ring or tournament game. All other games, including Omaha, will not qualify for the Royal Flush Promo.

    • The 5000 point reward is applicable for Royal Flushes in Spades only, and will be paid to all table players who were dealt into the hand once SBR can verify the hand history. Players who are seated out at the start of the hand, thus not dealt any cards, will not be eligible for the reward.

    • All other suits aside from Spades receive 1000 points. If you are dealt into a hand at a Texas Hold Em table that has a Royal Flush in hearts, diamonds, or clubs, you will receive 1,000 betpoints after SBR verifies via the hand history. Players who are seated out at the start of the hand, thus not dealt any cards, will not be eligible for the reward.

This promotion will expire at the conclusion of the SBR Poker Championship series on February 26th. Royal flushes dealt on February 27th will not be eligible for a points reward.

I think it will be impossible to take a screenshot. As soon as the winning chips are distributed the software deals new cards in a split of a second.

its not necesarry, but without it, they gotta go searching. so at the very least, get the hand number.

It's OK and certainly not a requirement. It's just something that would be kind of cool to embed in a thread, and it would help us locate the hand ID quicker. Players can always simply copy/paste the hand history in a thread as well so we don't have to sift through hundreds of hands.

I think when the software deals the next hand it also tells you on the upper right corner what the previous hand was so someone can write it down and forward it to Lou.

Just note the hand number. I think its in the right hand corner?? Or the time it was dealt. Either way we will find it but this will certainly help everyone get their 5000 point prize sooner.

well if it comes when the blinds are low like 10/20 then it makes sense to announce it so that the whole table can split 50,000 points instead of battling it out for 60-100 points pot.

Sort of what i was saying though. Instead of announcing it, you just check and if your opponent bets, you just call.

Crazy part is, atleast 2 of the 3 royals(not sure about the 3rd) have happend when the person with the royal had been leading out/pushing all in and was lucky enough to get a call.

i caught one rf in my life and was too dumb to know this rule. they were paying a big bonus, certainly more than the tiny pot. but they also had a minimum pot size to qualify as well.

Some places also require two of the royal flush cards coming from your hole cards.

I had the pleasure of being a rf caller after the river and it was pretty obvious that I was beat. 3 spade face cards and the 10 were on the board, and I had two pair. I didn't know he had the jack but it was obvious he had a flush. You just got to pay attention.

The original post has been updated.

The Spades requirement for the 5,000 point reward goes into effect tomorrow, February 15th, 2011. All other Royal Flush suits (clubs, diamonds, hearts), as the original post states, will pay 1,000 points to all who are dealt into the hand at the table.
    Best of luck!

Hypothetically speaking, if I were to be at a non-spades royal flush table tmrw having not clicked on this thread since the rule change took effect, I would likely be pretty mad, maybe even mad enough to punch a wall...

Spades only now for the 5k points....blah , getting stingy with those points I see.

Should be a spades/hearts royal flush gets 5k points, and clubs/diamonds royal flush gets 2.5k points.
